Pearls of Peace is proud to provide women-only general swimming sessions for the community.
These sessions are run during term time and located at Barry Road Swimming Pool provide a safe, private, and supportive environment where women can participate in physical activity with confidence and comfort. They are designed to promote physical health, mental wellbeing, and social connection, while removing common barriers that may prevent women from accessing mixed-gender swimming facilities.
We welcome women of all abilities including beginners, those returning to swimming after a long break, and participants seeking a low-impact form of exercise. We have qualified female lifeguards at every session thus allowing participants to swim safely and progress at a pace that suits their individual needs. The emphasis is on enjoyment and confidence-building.
Our sessions accommodate varying health considerations, and cultural or religious requirements, helping to ensure the sessions are accessible to all women within the community. We run weekday and weekend sessions to provide a wide choice for our ladies to choose from.
In addition to physical benefits, our swimming sessions provide a valuable social space for women to connect, reduce isolation and build supportive relationships. By offering regular, affordable, and accessible opportunities, Pearls of Peace aims to encourage long-term healthy habits and strengthen community wellbeing in a positive and inclusive environment.
